We are a family owned and family run wedding venue. That’s not to say that we do it all ourselves, we have loads of lovely people that work alongside us to make sure that we are the best that we can be. Everyone here has a very very important role in making sure that we deliver what we say we will. We don’t just employ seasonal people on a seasonal basis, the great thing about being busy means that in the main our staff are permanent and have been with us and stay with us for a long time.

Staff training is paramount and every member of the team is well trained and has a huge sense of pride in our offerings.

Finally, we have a strong sense of fairness and value for money. We wouldn’t provide anything for our guests that we wouldn’t use ourselves and aim to provide excellent service for a fair price.

Cooling Castle Barn History

Cooling Castle Barn, located in the village of Cooling in Kent, England, is a historic and picturesque venue that has become a popular choice for weddings and events. The barn is part of the larger Cooling Castle estate, which has a rich history dating back to the 14th century.

Cooling Castle itself was built in the late 1380s by Sir John de Cobham, a prominent landowner and knight. Our in-house laundry ensures top-quality bed and table linens, and our private borehole keeps our lawns, flowers, and hanging baskets lush, even during droughts. We’re also self-sufficient in managing waste water, a necessity in our rural location. Committed to sustainability, we recycle extensively, including food oil, cardboard, and glass, to minimize our environmental footprint and uphold our eco-friendly values.
